Now I like making fun of people sometimes too, but there are times when people join an end-game LS and all of a sudden think their shit don’t stink.
This came to me today.

Below that is a pic of someone he feels doesn’t deserve a Hauteclaire.
Now looking at the screenshot, I see a PLD who has reasonably decent gear, but because they ‘won’ their sword and didn’t ‘earn’ it via endless camping of a 2-3 day spawn, she is suddenly ‘gimp’. All of the people that those felt ‘deserved’ the sword, all got congrats, those who didn’t ‘deserve’ it, ZOMG gimp.
I can understand that some are annoyed that these paladins got so lucky and got their sword, but if an otherwise decent tank suddenly gets an AMAZING sword, which helps them do their job better, its suddenly bad? Looking at the gear, they have just about the best you can get w/o a bit of luck while not camping hnms all day.
Maybe it wouldn’t bother me much, but the poster (Deuciont) is just an ass.
He quit the LS I was in previously on diabolos to join a bunch of people who quit DarkStatic, which at the time was really falling apart.

Just admit what shell you were in (here’s a clue, its the one post you made on their site during your worthless time there). Really, you join a formerly ok end-game shell and suddenly you are too good to admit where you came from? Then you have the audacity to tell this paladin — who is probably thrilled beyond all measure that they got one of the best swords for their job — that they don’t deserve it? I don’t know Archangelite, nor am I familiar with her shell, but I will still defend them against an attack like this.
What she did was very smart, and good. She has decent gear, and she just upgraded her sword. She also did not spend everything she had on just one piece (which is also a GOOD thing). She can still afford her foods. Trying to get better items is generally accepted as a ‘good’ thing in this game, especially on BG.
