{"id":625,"date":"2009-11-01T14:31:22","date_gmt":"2009-11-01T18:31:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.sphericality.org\/pyra\/2009\/11\/01\/i-think-i-hate-the-ff-wikis-forums\/"},"modified":"2009-11-01T14:31:22","modified_gmt":"2009-11-01T18:31:22","slug":"i-think-i-hate-the-ff-wikis-forums","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.sphericality.org\/pyra\/2009\/11\/01\/i-think-i-hate-the-ff-wikis-forums\/","title":{"rendered":"I Think I Hate the FF-Wiki&rsquo;s Forums"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been noticing a trend lately, especially in the General Forums, where people just want to start a fight all the time.<\/p>\n<p>I had a discussion (well I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t call it that really) about whether a smn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s auto refresh counted as the first \u00e2\u20ac\u201c1 perpet cost or if the lowest you could get the perpet cost was 1, with auto refresh covering the last 1mp\/tick.<\/p>\n<p>They even went so far as to say \u00e2\u20ac\u0153you&#8217;re arguing against an established and provable fact that the minimum perp cost for any avatar is 1\u00e2\u20ac\u009d.&#160; I guess the past oh 3 years or so of having a lvl 75 smn to your lvl 40 smn makes you know all of the established and provable facts.&#160; Because, of course, #1, it makes no difference in practice which of us is right, and #2, I can make up \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfacts\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, declare them \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcestablished and provable\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 and throw them out there, then edit the wiki to match my point of view too.&#160; The guy even went off onto a rant about FoV refresh and I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m not sure what else just to prove me wrong \u00e2\u20ac\u201c when I specifically didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t mention FoV refresh in my original comment.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t the first time either.&#160; I know I pick fights when people deserve it or when I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m just really, really, bored, but the number of fights and the quality of posts on that forum, and especially General, have gone down so much lately.&#160; The mods don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t help, but at least charitwo has mostly shut up at this point.&#160; Tahngarthor interjects his opinion into everything, and is usually just wrong.&#160; Sadly my \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfoes\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 list keeps growing, but I can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t add Tahn to the ignore list.<\/p>\n<p>If it wasn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t for my overwhelming boredom at work, I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122d likely never check those forums again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been noticing a trend lately, especially in the General Forums, where people just want to start a fight all the time.
