I'll never understand why those who live in NJ always get so bent out of shape when it gets mocked.

The place smells, the drivers suck, and for some reasons there are no left turns. And people wonder why all the bridges charge you to exit. No one in their right mind would pay to enter. Maybe NJ is like Detroit -- you think its ok, until you've lived elsewhere, then you realize how terrible the place is.

It was never intended to be more than a joke. Perhaps I should have said Brooklyn, and something about how its almost Manhattan, but just isn't the same. It was simply an accurate retelling of a story I found amusing, and a chance to take a jab at NJ, which is something to never be passed up.

Pro Tip: Don't assume I watch that crap.

"They so badly want to be Odin (NYC) but, like the real Jersey, is where those not quite good enough for NYC end up."

Uh, as someone who's lived their entire life in North Jersey, this couldn't be farther from the truth. 95% of the people I know and have met hate New Yorkers (ha you should hear my mother when she gets started). The only good thing about the City is the entertainment factor (Broadway ftw). Trust me, I wouldn't *want* to live in NY and pay their out the arse taxes- there's a reason why New Yorkers come to Jersey outlet malls to shop.

Pro Tip: What you see on the Real Housewives of New Jersey isn't the status quo by any way, shape or form.
