Sub-subtitle — and how I learned what “Sakura” meant
Yesterday (April 5th), I took a trip down to DC for the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
And of course, I took my camera.
Washington Monument with Cherry Blossoms:
This one is so bazaar, I just love it
The branch is just suspended there, coming from no where.
It was such a big deal, that Tommy Jefferson decided to show up.
Actual size too. He really was 25 ft tall.
Here is Tommy’s House with some of the Blossoms.
Some of the trees are fairly old, with a handful of originals from about 100 years ago.
The older ones have branches that reach out over the path. This one is from behind.
Also, some of the older ones have small buds coming directly out of the larger branches.
And finally, my show off picture for today.

Nope, not a pro. Its just a hobby of mine. This wasn’t even done with an expensive camera, just a fairly inexpensive point and shoot from Canon.
