My First Non-AI Dynamis
Nov 2nd, 2007 by pyra
The drops were insane. I’ve never seen so much in a single city run.
For starters, there were 60 people at the start, and we even had 64 at one point! The group has been together for the better part of 2 years now, and many leaders have 3-5 75 jobs.

The pulling is handled very differently than any other LS I’ve ever been in. They just pull large groups (sometimes 10+ monsters and a statue or two). Very different than what I’m used to.
The drops were great, although quantity does not always imply quality….

Woofie is the leader of the ls. She admits to trying to kill people. Shame on her!

We nearly emptied the zone, including all repops. With 15-20 more minutes, we probably could have made everything dead.
There were some good drops too…it wasn’t all DRG.

Final count was something crazy, I know there were 3 WAR, 2 RNG, 2 DRG, 2 THF, 1 BLM, 2 RDM, 1 DRK, 1 WHM, 1 NIN, 1 SAM. There were 3 AF drops on the steps at the beginning of Jeuno. Normal drop rate for cities for this group has been about 10-15, with a high of 25 one dynamis sandy (but 11 of those were BRD).
wow.. just wow. with that many people, how the heck do you keep track of them and who gets what ?
A fairly straight forward system.
When you join, you pick a main lot and a sub lot. Since its just Pyra, I’m main lot THF, sub lot MNK. Every time you show up for a dynamis where your AF could drop, you get 2 points (for main lot only). If you have that AF, you get 3. But, that’s only if you stay the entire time (attendance is taken 3 times, at entrance, at MB kill, and at end, if you are there for all 3 attendances, you get 3 points).
Any AF on main lot costs 10 points, and you can go as low as -5 (you cannot lot your main until your 3rd run, but can lot your sub on your first…. its a little odd I know).
It takes 2-3 people to keep track of, and update the points. One person calls out lots when something drops (someone compiles a list a day ahead of time). There is a most points, your item rule. But, they have teirs, so someone with 17-19 points will be in the same teir, and will lot against each other. If no one is a main lot, it goes to sub-lot, starting 70+, then 65+. Then, if not claimed, it goes free lot 70+, then 65+, etc. On a particular run where they got 11 of the same item that everyone already had, it went free lot 10+. Last night, the WAR hands were free lot 50+ by the 3rd pair.
